Interesting indeed. Where did you dig those up? The angle to take those screenshots would be impossible as far as where a character could travel. Some sort of free camera roam then?

You have more than a thousand screenshots with 'teh' action in the Screen Exposition section. I find it refreshing to see a few picturesque landscapes.

Could be an observer mode that we aren't supposed to know about yet because they would be showing it until release... Or it could be a clipping error. Hard to say because it seems that the links no longer work, (which may say something more interesting if you are one that tends to read too much into things.)

Only thing I could think of is hes playin it offline somehow, or accessing the maps via some program, considerin he can see the wireframe.

He's decompiling the maps.... Used to do it to Mechwarrior 4 to check out the terrain....

Hmm, you sure? How would decompiling the maps and viewin the terrain have anything in common? My only mappin experince is on Hammer for Half-Life.

I have no idea about the free camera view, but you used to be able to press shift and f-12 to view different viewing options. Unfortunatly, It didn't work during the March beta because they made f-12 the log out button. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Anyway, I only have 1 screenshot like that, unfortunatly.
